Post-Con Thoughts: Fan Expo 2016

Wrapping up my second year at Fan Expo. I'm now sitting at home a day after the festivities allowing for my brain to relax after what proved to be another fruitful venture in connecting with people like myself, fans of various genres in what is considered geek culture. This year I also had author Brandon Draga with me in the booth and artist Deanna Laver, which was great because none of us had to worry about losing our voices. We had such a great time in fact that we will be back in 2017 (same booth A424 unless changes happen to the convention layout) and with more works than we had this year.

Again as with before I came home with a sense of purpose and that my writing is more than just this thing I hammer out on a keyboard on weekends and after work hours. People out there care and the fact that there were people who came back from last year showed me that those weren't just empty words said in passing. Did I mention I also almost sold out of paperbacks while there this time around?

Thanks again everyone for a great show and a shout out my fantastic street team of Jess, Anthony and Chris who kept me sane and caffeinated all weekend long.

Now, back to that thing I do where I type on a keyboard and words come out. Those short stories I promised won't write themselves and the cover art for Q-16 and Lord of the Unfinished Tower won't spring up over night. Keep it awesome guys!
